"Playing" in small houses

Enjoying the day on Saturday, when the Spring releases the first rays here in Geneva, today I went out with a friend to walk ... After a good "chimarrão" we go through the mini zoo and walked toward the Rhône, a special route in the midst of nature. As a good daughter of agriculture, I have to share this curiosity that I found in the way and brought me back to the time when my brothers and I were playing "house" like little homeowners.
Next to the zoo, we found a mini village of houses belonging to residents of Geneva, who are fond of agriculture. Here, they have a few square meters of area where they grow vegetables and flowers around the mini house that serves as shelter and also to store tools. The most interesting is that there is a village of these mini houses, one beside the other, well maintained, like doll's houses, where people have a place of refuge on the weekends.
As snow is just starting to go away, it is still cold and so there wasn't much green but the "farmers" were working hard on Saturday and I think it'll be all green here soon  . I plan to return next month to see how this mini village will be at the peak of Spring ...

...Internship Retreat...

During the last three days we were meeting in Neuchatel, the Internship Retreat, a retreat of all the "interns" from the Ecumenical Center. Through different activities, dynamic, cultural presentations we, 16 young people from around the world, we've been reflecting on what we expect from this time in Geneva, what we would like learn, how we can contribute to the work of our church... living an introduction to working time in Geneva.
Those days were very special to meet new people, make new friends, discover new things.
During one evening, each one was invited to present the culture of their country through some dynamic activity. Like all people only know Brazil through samba and football, I decided to do something different. I thought, as a good "Gaúcha" the most appropriate was to teach a music from my culture famous in my region: the music  "Pezinho". Thus, I presented Brazil showing that we are a very big country in size and greater diversity of culture that goes far beyond samba and soccer. It was very fun the whole group dancing the music "Pezinho". :D
